Well we weren’t so lucky with the weather today, but you can’t expect to travel round New Zealand and not get a day or two of rain!

We hung around town in the morning while it was still a little dry, and got bagels for brunch at Balls & Bangles. We attempted to FaceTime but had crap WiFi (classic NZ) and the recipients had definitely had more than a few pints so we gave up in the end!

In the afternoon we drove up to Glenorchy, which is the northern most town on Lake Wakatipu. It was now absolutely chucking it down with rain so we hid out in a cafe with a hot chocolate until it eased off and then had a wander around.

For dinner we went to a Malaysian place called Madam Woo’s which was really nice, and then back to The London for pool & beer before heading back to the hostel. A pretty early night as we’ve gotta be up at 5am for our trip to Milford Sound!
