We started off our third day in Melbourne with another kick ass breakfast buffet at the hotel, before heading out to pick up our bikes for the day. We cycled through the city and along the coast to Port Melbourne Beach, where we chilled out in the sunshine all morning. There was a high school beach volley ball tournament going on, and wow these kids were good! It looked so fun and we were well jel that we couldn’t join in.
After a morning of sunbathing we cycled to the docklands to check out the very arty Webb Bridge, and had a beer at a bar along the riverside. We left the bikes there and walked back down the South Bank into the city centre.
The Eureka Skydeck was next on the agenda for today. At 88 storeys high it’s the tallest viewing deck in the whole of the Southern Hemisphere, so we had to check it out! We timed it well and got there to see the sun set and then the city at night too. The view was amazing and you could see for miles in land and out to sea.
In the evening we headed to the Victoria Night Market, famous for its food stalls, bars and shopping! It’s a huge market and was absolutely buzzing with people. We got some amazing souvlaki from a Greek food truck and had a beer while we wandered round the vintage clothes stalls (plus a whole lot of tat!).
