It’s our final day in Melbourne and we’ve got a massive 12 hour overnight coach trip ahead of us, as we are heading off to Sydney!
We started our final day in the city with a walk through the botanical gardens and a visit to the ACMI (Australian Centre of the Moving Image). They have a great exhibition about the development of film, TV, games and other media in Australia. There’s loads to see and do, and even loads of video games through the ages that you can play. After getting muscled out of the gaming room by a load of school kids, we decided to explore the rest of Melbourne’s vintage shops – and managed not to buy anything this time round!
In the afternoon we got a boat along the river to Williamstown, which is a small seaside town about an hour down the river, out of the city. We had a wander around and got some lunch there before chilling at the harbour in the sunshine. After getting the boat back in to the city, we had some time to kill before we had to be at the station to get our coach (as it didn’t leave until 10pm!). We had a wander down the southbank, and had a beer on a floating bar on the river while we watched an amazing sunset.

Last sunset in the city – no filter needed on this one!
